2024. Season information

There are a few new things going on here at MBNC for the 2024 season to ensure things run smoothly and to help make sure players are getting a fair game:

• Individual Registrations
• Senior Registrations
• Teams involvement in supplying umpires
• Coaches of Year 5 & 6 teams

Club Registrations

All players must register themselves here on the MBNC website through the registration link.

There is a drop down box to select which club you are playing for.

Your club will invoice you for payment, do not pay directly to MBNC

Individual Registrations

If you do not belong to a club please register as per usual and attend grading day. We will build teams from here as per usual.

Senior Registrations

Please place your team name in the required box. If you don’t know the team name just write “monica’s team” or something reasonably identifiable so we are able to build teams in our software easily.

Umpiring requirements

Senior teams 

All Senior teams must have two players as a minimum from their team attend an umpire and rules class.

There have been MANY netball rule changes this year which will need to be understood and fed back to your team players so everyone is aware.

There will be an umpire roster set for the season where senior teams will be assigned umpire duties on the college round playing prior to the seniors round.

How you work out who these umpires are, is up to you as a team, but the duty will need to be fulfilled, which is why two players are required to attend the course, so if one is sick, the other is available. There will be penalty fees incurred if this duty is not performed.

College teams 

If a player wishes to umpire the year 7 & 8 round you will need to attend an umpire course.

We will be sending this registration link out when we have the class arranged. You will be shadowed by a supportive adult throughout the season to increase skills.

Each year 7 / 8 team must have a coach attend an umpiring course, or an adult delegate may attend in their place. This is to make sure there is an adult aware of rule changes.

Year 7 & 8

Coaches of year 5 & 6 teams

You may be required to shadow new umpires on your court to help them. You will still be able to coach while performing this role.
